Leading the Way! Nantucket's Restaurant Harnesses Wind and Solar to Drive Down Energy Costs and Reduce Environmental Impact

Fenwick Island, DE - 2009-07-24

Nantucket's Restaurant, a well respected landmark in Fenwick Island, Delaware had a hunch that the time was right to invest in renewable energy.  Rising energy costs and government incentives indicated action must be taken to prepare for the future.

Flexera helped the owners analyze their energy situation and then designed a system to help them drive down their energy costs using a blended system consisting of a Skystream 3.7 Wind Turbine and 48 Suntech Photovoltaic panels.

Once Flexera was able to show them the quick return on investment on their investment coupled with the state and federal grants, the decision was easy.  Add to that annual income generated by Renewable Energy Certificates which Flexera will purchase from Nantucket's for cash - this system is a smart, long term investment.

Center for the Inland Bays Installs 2 Skystream 3.7 Wind Turbines

Indian River Inlet, DE - 2009-07-10

With high average wind speeds The Center For The Inland Bays located on the north side of the Indian River Inlet Bridge made the decision to put 2 Skystream 3.7 Horizontal Axis wind turbines into play.

The Skystreams are a versatile marine grade wind turbine that work very well in salty, high wind east coast conditions.  This turbine is sturdy, steady and produces energy efficiently and quietly.  Standing next to the turbine in 12+ mile an hour winds - the turbine cannot be heard over a whisper.

Reliable, quiet and safe works for a world that needs to replace fossil fuels with clean renewable energy.

Milton Resident Doubles up on Energy Production

Milton, DE - 2008-05-15

Meeting the customers requirements for power and placement we installed a 1,200 Watt WindTerra Vertical Wind Turbine mounted to a 45foot Monopole right next to home. This allowed the owner to utilize wind power in a very tight area with limited space. We also installed (8) 175 Watt Solar World Panels with a Sunny Boy 5000W Inverter to squeeze another 180 kilowatt hours of juice a month into the package. Taking advantage of 2 state grants and a federal tax credit, this homeowner knows how to generate energy and save cash at the same time.
