Solar Power and Hot Water on the Same Roof
Bethany Beach, DE - 2008-12-04
Utilizing as much available space was a key goal for this Bethany home owner. With 16 solar photovoltaic panels this system will generate a hansome 384 kilowatt hours of power on average per month. But the savings did not stop there. With plenty of room and generous sun beating on the south facing roof the owner decided to optimize energy savings with a 2 panel solar hot water system. With it's capacity to generate hot water efficiently from the sun, this system will reduce hot water energy expenses by anywhere from 65 - 80%. No doubt as energy prices climb the sunrises will be extra special for this beach home owner.

Milton Resident Doubles up on Energy Production
Milton, DE - 2008-05-15
Meeting the customers requirements for power and placement we installed a 1,200 Watt WindTerra Vertical Wind Turbine mounted to a 45foot Monopole right next to home. This allowed the owner to utilize wind power in a very tight area with limited space. We also installed (8) 175 Watt Solar World Panels with a Sunny Boy 5000W Inverter to squeeze another 180 kilowatt hours of juice a month into the package. Taking advantage of 2 state grants and a federal tax credit, this homeowner knows how to generate energy and save cash at the same time.
