Seaside Commercial Solar
Seaside Country Store in Fenwick Island, Delaware worked closely with Flexera to establish the feasibility of installing solar panels on their business to offset energy use and drive down energy costs.
The goal was a PV system that would produce the maximum return on investment while conforming to the Seaside Country Store's aesthetic and engineering requirements. Flexera's system design expertise was put to the test to create a custom solar system that would maximize the facilities' flat roof space, without penetrating or compromising the rubber membranous roof surface. The system also had to be able to endure harsh coastal conditions and high wind speeds. As usual, Flexera's design team was able to custom design a beautiful PV system that met all these criteria.
With the available state and federal grants, tax credits, and accelerated depreciation, it was decidedly a great opportunity to reduce and stabilize Seaside Country Store's energy costs with minimal cash outlay.
Furthermore, the continuous income produced from Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SREC's) made it a great investment to increase Seaside Country Store's cash flow.
This 20,000 Watt system is projected to produce 27,000+ KWH per year.

"Flexera is an extremely professional organization of young people," said store owner Steven Vickers. "They were on target, on task, polite, and professional. From the time they dropped the equipment off to installation, it was amazing. They were very professional."
