Power Between the Vents!
This is a great example of how innovative engineering and system design can get homeowners the power they need to realize the benefits of an onsite renewable energy source.
We met the challenge of the broken roof lines and multiple obstructions by separating the solar strings onto various locations to optimize size and performance from a photovoltaic solution.
We adapted the setup by breaking the array into 3 different subsets to avoid 2 vent pipes, an air duct, and an extended roof line. We recovered as much usable roof space as possible and in doing so we were able to fit 6,000 watts of solar power to give this homowner approximately 762 kilowatt hours per month.
