It's Getting Hot! Solar Electric and Hot Water in Wenona, MD
This Wenona, Maryland homeowner is taking advantage of free sustainable solar energy using a great south-facing roof line to collect the sun's rays at his home. With 4,200 DC Watts of solar power, he is producing an average of 550 kilowatt hours of electricity each month.
He also saw the potential of saving on hotwater bills and installed a Solar Hot Water Collector to offset his energy costs associated with heating water for home use. With an innovative eye, we were able to mount the Solar Hot Water panel conveniently to the side of his deck where it would have access to the suns rays without interruption. The piping for the system was run out of view behind the beams and joists of the deck.
This system is another example of Flexera's innovative approach to creating affordable renewable energy solutions for homeowners.
